Any advice for junior developers entering the industry?
Attend as many meetups as possible! After finishing my degree in Computer Science (predominantly Java) I stepped away from the tech industry for a few years, when I decided I wanted to come back I had to retrain and taught myself Python from scratch! When I was retraining I was going to 3-4 meetups each week to understand the technological landscape and get exposure to as many languages as possible. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions and introduce yourself to potential mentors!
You can still register to come along tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd August, 18:30 – 21:30 @ Skills Matter, EC2M 7EB. All the details are here.
